Thanks in part to your gift, this summer, Math Corps continued to make a significant impact by providing its six-week summer program to over 300 middle and high school students in Detroit. The academic progress achieved by our students this summer was truly remarkable. Seventh graders, starting with an average pre-test score of 26%, saw their average post-test scores soar to an impressive 88%. Eighth graders exhibited substantial improvement, with their average pre-test scores of 24% rising to an average of 70% on the post-test. Even our ninth graders, facing the steepest challenge, witnessed a remarkable increase from their average pre-test score of 16% to an outstanding average of 80% on the post-test!

Our commitment to attendance remained unwavering, with an average attendance rate of 83% despite ongoing challenges related to COVID. Student feedback speaks volumes about their positive experiences within the program, as an overwhelming 96% of students rated Math Corps with an A (66%) or B (30%) in their end-of-year surveys.
